The Highway

Within the fiction of this project this section is a transition space as players progress through the donkey afterlife. Elements we wanted to include were pathways through clouds, alternate paths and floating islands. A lot of the design influences such as the use of sand and small sections of paving stones were established already in other parts of the project. Obsidian came along very early on during iteration as a new element and helped to guide a lot of the shapes used in this and later stages.

The models were all created in Blender using geometry nodes to allow for rapid iteration with the exception of the donkey statues which simply use the character model.
